before we had season tickets to the UT games, the Tech game was the one game we went to every year when i was a kid. it worked out great because it was the most exciting game of the year, and it also used to fall on or around my birthday.it wasn’t always the greatest b-day present, though, because Tech beat us every year back then. and their fans…man, they used to fill up at least 2-3 sections. nothing worse than losing to Tech at home, with their screaming fans holding up their thumb and forefinger pistol.i’m not bitter though =) ….i respect fans that are passionate about women’s basketball! it makes for a great rivalry.
As another 40-something women’s hoops fan, I remember some of Texas’ successes in the 1980s. A lot of people know that Pat Summitt has 900+ wins, but a lot of youngsters don’t know that Jody Conradt does, too. Texas made a big commitment to women’s hoops long before a lot of today’s powerhouses even thought about doing the same thing. In hiring Coach G, it seems to me that they reaffirmed that commitment to excellence. Many believe that it’s only a matter of time before the longhorns are in the Final Four again.I also remember some of Tech’s successes in the 1990′s. More importantly, it’s nice to read about players from rival teams supporting each other off the court. Note to Andrea Riley: this is a nice example of what good sportsmanship looks like.
Hi with version 4.0.223.11 and 4.0.223.16, secure pages are broken. The secure icon changes from the padlock to the triangle with the exclamation mark saying "This page contains some insecure content.". So far I have found that this problem happens when I am in this comment window and also in gmail. For gmail I found that the source of the problem has something to do with the "Google Talk Plugin" because when I sign into Gmail and and GTalk finally loads, the security of the page breaks. When I use "disable-plugins" in the short-cut, Gmail remains secure after Gtalk is fully loaded. But even when the plugins are disabled, this comment window's security is still broken. Why? Anyway, there should be a feature that would allow the user to choose what plugins they want to disable, instead of having one choice to either have all of them enable or none at all. Anyway, it would be nice if this security problem would get fixed.
Chrome is commonly perform like that because they using "V8" or known as apple "Webkit" as their core operation. Because of opting this kind of rendering engine, reading files such as pdf document or loading flash content are become a great setback and certain websites that require a compatible view of the content are not actually perform well...and due to this reason, some people may not choosing Google chrome as their preferable browser applied in daily usage...Indeed, the usage share somehow is below the Mozilla Firefox due to compatibility issues, handling extension application as well as optimize memory consumption...Faster rendering speed doesn't mean anything if the page require to load is becomes blank and require to press reload button again...unlike Mozilla Firefox, hassle free in loading a webpage and great speed in downloading. That's what major users expected towards their daily Internet browser. Therefore, I really hope that Google Chrome need to focus at this section in order to make their browser become excellent...
